Abstract

The implementation of the Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) in the Padang State Polytechnic Library, which highlights efforts in improving collection management and user services. SLiMS, as open source software, facilitates the library in the process of cataloging, circulation, and membership management. The method used was qualitative. Data collection techniques are from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that SLiMS has modernized the library management system, although there are some barriers such as limited technical skills of staff and data migration issues. With proper training, these barriers can be overcome, so SLiMS has the potential to improve the quality of library services and better meet users' information needs.
