Analysis of Factors Causing the Lack of Interest of Parents in Sending Their Children to Permata Bolobungkang Kindergarten

Early childhood education (ECE) plays an important role in children's development, especially in preparing them to enter primary education. However, in Permata Bolobungkang Kindergarten, the early childhood participation rate is still relatively low. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause parents' lack of interest in sending their children to Permata Bolobungkang Kindergarten, with a focus on parents' concerns about the quality of teaching that is not in accordance with the child's age. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with interviews and observations. The results showed that parents' concerns about teachers' understanding of the characteristics of early childhood development were the main factor that caused their low interest. This research is expected to provide input for related parties in an effort to improve the quality of early childhood education and early childhood participation at Permata Bolobungkang Kindergarten
