Power-hungry leaders, corruption, and election violence are just a few of the problems plaguing PNG, a democratic country suffering through a political crisis. Democracy in PNG doesn't appear to have fulfilled the expectations of the general public. Public decision-making is getting less open, which is further eroding public trust, in addition to the government's and public authorities' lack of accountability. Insecurity is also increasing as a result of political difficulties that are pulling the nation in different directions. This article examines the several dimensions of PNG's political crises and their consequences on socioeconomic growth in an effort to break this cycle. Using the political and moral teachings of Confucius, it presents an epistemology of leadership. Moreover, it offers a philosophical examination of Confucius's theories, which may offer some guidance for addressing the political dilemma that PNG is currently facing. A number of unfavorable circumstances have plagued political life in PNG and have caused the country to move in many different directions. However, it may be helpful to carefully study and apply Confucius' idea of political leadership in order to overcome some of these problems
